If you are heading to KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America in Salt Lake City, I have one suggestion. Book your flight 1 day earlier. On Nov 9, Yugabyte is hosting the Distributed SQL Summit, co-located with KubeCon. I will be there in person, and I think a lot of you should be too.

Why this event matters right now

Over the past year, almost every leader I have spoken to on The Ravit Show has said some version of the same thing. Getting an AI agent to work in a demo is easy. Getting it to work in production is hard.

And when it breaks, it is rarely the model. It is the data underneath. Can it scale? Can it stay up? Can it remember what happened yesterday?

That is what this summit is about. Distributed PostgreSQL for the AI era, with sessions, keynotes and live demos from the people building and running it at scale.

How I am using Meko for The Ravit Show

This one is personal.

Earlier this year Yugabyte launched Meko, data infrastructure that gives AI agents shared, persistent memory. I have been using it in my own workflow.

The Ravit Show runs on a lot of moving pieces. Before every interview there is guest research. Before every event there are partner briefs. After every recording there are follow ups, clips and posts.

I have AI agents helping with each of these. The problem was simple. Every agent started from zero. I kept re-explaining the same context to each one.

With Meko, they share memory. What my research agent learns about a guest, my content agent can use when drafting the post. What a partner told us last quarter is still there next quarter. Less repetition, fewer wasted prompts, and context that carries over.

That is exactly why I want to be in the room. I want to see where Meko and YugabyteDB are headed, and hear from teams putting this into production.

The plan for Nov 9

  1. Arrive early and catch the keynotes

  2. Join the lunchtime rave (yes, really)

  3. Sessions and live demos through the afternoon

  4. Record conversations for The Ravit Show

  5. Head straight into KubeCon week

The Distributed SQL Summit is free, but seats are limited for the in-person day.

If you will be there, reply to this newsletter or DM me on LinkedIn. Let’s meet in Salt Lake City.

See you on Nov 9.

Best,
Ravit Jain
